Will I lose my mind will I ever go straight rock & rollin’ in between the lines we’re only tempting fate May be halfway to heaven going at this rate not much to show even though we took the tackle and the bait *Oh the lights are shining all around you god knows nothing’s overdue but you are my baby and our love will see us through yes you are my baby and I’m making my way back to you When I call upon the elders they say have a little faith maybe we’ll be a little better off sometime in a future age So I’ll strum a little guitar in the quiet of the night what’s wrong what’s right it’s fall or flight baby I just wanna treat you right *Oh the lights are shining all around you god knows nothing’s overdue but you are my baby and our love will see us through yes you are my baby and I’m making my way back to you Goin’ back home I walk alone through these lazy days of life Lookin’ back on the times we had we drew circles around the world like migration birds

Saw you standing on the stairway/ lookin back at me little lion little tiger/ pretty little thing just a creature of the kudzu/ innocent and clean little lion little tiger/ pretty little thing *And there’s never ever any time/ runnin’ from place to place and I wonder if ya understand/ there’s one thing I’d like to say didn’t mean to take your life away So we’re rulers of a kingdom we never devised holding fast to a mystery we’ll never conquer or divide on a whim on a whimsey you can hardly believe but our touch and our instinct it could kill anything *And there’s never ever any time/ runnin’ from place to place and I wonder if ya understand/ there’s one thing I’d like to say didn’t mean to take your life away Wish I could see you next year/ pick yourself up off the ground but all things disappear one bad move and it’s nearly over/ all those things I could have showed ya walks in the park/ I would’ve warmed up to you and afternoons in the backyard/ yeah I woulda warmed up to you coulda been a pair a style an item / coulda been a pair a style an item Saw you standing on the stairway/ lookin back at me little lion little tiger/ pretty little thing just a creature of the kudzu/ innocent and clean little lion little tiger/ pretty little thing

I take it I won’t get run-over I take it I can find some clothes I take it I won’t be forgotten / every once in a while ya get a bloody nose I take it / I take it on faith I take it I can keep it simple it’s the only way I know I take it if I don’t get better then baby I’ll never grow I take it / I take it on faith I take it we’ll stay together I take it I will not stray I take it we’ll have some children and somehow make it through the fray I take it / I take it on faith i take it I can live much better I take it I can do more good I take it I can make a friend and lend a hand in the neighborhood I take it on a little hard work & faith I take it I’m gonna weather any storm that comes my way I take it the love we make is gonna come back to us one of these days I take it i take it on faith I take it i can find my people there’s a home for me I’m sure through the noise and the clouds and the din yes I probably been there before I take it / I take it on faith I take it there’s a higher power set the world upon a course I take it that the smallest flower holds a key to the universe I take it on faith I take it that all this hatred I take it that all this strife is gonna be worked out one day on a field with guns and knives I take it / I take it on faith I take it there’s always tomorrow and tomorrow’s gonna be today I take it that goodness and graciousness are gonna have the final say I take it / I take it on faith I take it that it’s all been said and done and done and said before writ upon the rocks and sand and the ice and dirt and ocean floor I take it / I take it on faith
